Fun with Pictures

Oliver is at such a fun age right now - he is so interactive, talkative and mimics everything we do.  It's so fun to watch him develop his own personality and to see him express his opinions.  We have been having fun working on picture cards with him - here is a cute little video: http://youtu.be/gnQjeD29vHQ

 

Oliver's First Birthday!

We can't believe that our little monkey is already 1!!  I have been so nostalgic lately thinking of where we were a year ago - completely in awe of the life we created but at the same time sleep deprived and completely clueless as to how to care for an infant.  The year has been a bit of a whirlwind full of the highs and lows of adjusting to parenthood.  Overall I think the lack of sleep and the numerous day care illnesses were probably the most challenging.  Conversely the amount of love we have for Oliver is immeasurable and nothing else comes close in importance.  It has been amazing watching him grow and develop into a little person with his own fun personality and opinions.  He is such a sweet, happy, friendly, independent and easy going little boy.  We feel so very blessed and he has added so much depth and love to our lives.  We celebrated his birthday with an afternoon barbeque with friends.  Here are some photos from the happy day:

Mad Men Party

Rhett and I had a fun date night last night and attended my company's annual party.  This year it was held at the Space Needle and was a Mad Men theme.  We had fun dressing up and I went all out and got my hair done.  Here are a few pics:
