The Year of the Zombie

One of the things I quickly learned about Rhett is his love of zombies. He loves zombie movies, zombie books, zombie comics, zombie knick knacks, zombie zombie zombie... Wow. I can't say that I fully comprehend his love/obsession with zombies but I have come to appreciate the fun of it at the least. This summer I was quite surprised to learn that Rhett is not alone in his zombie-love as this year we participated in the zombie walk in Fremont. They were trying to break the world record of the most people dressed as zombies in one place. There were 4,233 zombies in attendance which beat out the previous winner from the Big Chill Music Festival in England. It was hilarious - old zombies, young zombies, baby zombies, pet zombies, even a storm trooper zombie. Who knew that so many people dig zombies?

Here we are in our zombie best:

To top off the year's zombiefest we decided to attend the zombcon's zombie prom for Halloween. Since Rhett's favorite 'holiday' is Halloween you can imagine that combining his two loves made for a heavenly evening. Here are some pics of us with our zombie cronies.

A photo worthy of zombie Vogue

Yikes, I guess years of brain eating will do that to your teeth..

Right then, what's that in me jaw?

I'm only kissing you for your brains
